Dibakar Choudhury

Dibakar Choudhury is the District Manager for Ghumusur and Ganjam, overseeing the implementation and coordination of all programmes across 24 blocks in Ganjam district.

He joined Gram Vikas in July 2025, bringing with him over 33 years of diverse professional experience in rural development, education, health, livelihoods, community mobilization, advocacy, and capacity building. Prior to joining Gram Vikas, he worked as the State Programme Officer at Piramal Foundation from 2023 to 2025.

Dibakar began his professional journey with Gram Vikas in 1992 as a school teacher and had the distinction of being the first Head Master of the Mahendra Tanaya Ashram School, Koinpur. During his tenure with Gram Vikas from 1992 to 2004, he played a significant role in strengthening education and community development initiatives.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation, Salem, Tamil Nadu, a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts from Berhampur University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from IGNOU, and a Diploma in Computer Applications.
