Gyana Ranjan Das

Gyana Ranjan Das retired from the Government of Odisha in 2024 after 35 years in public service, having joined the Odisha Administrative Service in 1989 and later been appointed to the Indian Administrative Service in 2017. His career spanned some of the state’s most consequential administrative roles, including Collector and District Magistrate of Bhadrak, Executive Director of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority, and Director of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department. His experience in rural water governance and district administration brings a grounded understanding of how policy is implemented at the last mile. He is an alumnus of the Institute of Rural Management, Anand.
